Haven't posted anything for a while so thought i'd put up an update of whats going on at the mo!
Firstly, me and the boys have been picked for the Frequency Airborne competition running on Brunel FM along with 8 other bands. We will be going into the studio this Thursday to do an interview and an acoustic-ish session which will be broadcast on the Frequency show this Sunday between 12-4 (which non Swindoners can listen to by going to http://www.brunelfm.com/ and clicking on listen at the top!) . Then on the 29th of May we get to gig with Arc and Good Dog @ the 12 Bar, which should be a laugh!
We've also been asked to headline the Sunday @ The Beehive for this years Swindon Shuffle which we are really chuffed about! It's gonna be another great weekend of music and booze i'm sure!
We've lined up a few gigs for the coming months which are listen on the main page. The first of which will be the 8th May @ The Beehive with the wonderful Josh Kumra! It will be our first gig together and we can't wait!!
Hopefully we will record a little EP or something in the coming months that we'll stick up for you all to listen to, so stay tuned!!
Cheers
Jon
Here's a new track i've been working on
Here is the video for my song "Survive". It was done by a mate of ours called Carl Spring, and I loves it!
Found a little review of a gig I did last year:
Jon Trowbridge. Many of you may know him as the front man of Broken Daylight. Tonight, he was going solo. I've been a big fan of Jon's solo work for quite some time now. He has soul and passion and a stunning voice. All released at once creates a real wall of sound quality. Just close your eyes and drift into another plane. Don't ask why, but he reminds me of Alicia Keys, weird I know, but true. We should be seeing a lot more of Jon's solo work as Broken Daylight have reached their sell by date. Sad for BD fans, great for us JT fans. A well polished performance. Jon claims that they only had 15 minutes for practice for this. God help the rest of us if he only needs 15 minutes to be that good. Don't you just hate these gifted people? Jon Trowbridge – Vocals/keys was ably assisted by Jamie Trowbridge – Bass, Dave Staynings – Drums.
Cheers to Sean!
Spent the weekend recording a music video for the song "Survive". Me, Jamie, Chris and Dave spent Saturday pissing about in the Wiltshire countryside, and on Sunday played band style in The Furnace in Swindon. It's being done by a guy called Carl Spring who is a friend of Chris. He seems to know what he's doing and had some great ideas on the go, and we had great fun doing it. He's hoping to have a rough cut done in a week or two for us to look at, as well as a finished version in glorious Hi Def, so hopefully i'll have something to stick up here soon!
Getting perilously close to finishing the album i'm working on. Started off with about 50 or so songs i'd written in the past year, and have narrowed it down to 18 or so song as recording has gone on. Just need to finish up some vocals and drums and then mix it down. I'll stick a track or two up as I get them done!
Once that's done i'll be looking to start gigging again, hopefully in a couple of months or so!
Cheers

Played a gig @ The Beehive in Swindon on Wednesday for Oxjam. Got to play with Simon Curwood and Rob Beckinsale who both had really nice voices. I got some video footage of the gig so i'll stick a track or two up a bit later. Was a good laugh and ended up getting a couple of mates on stage to do The Thong Song by Sisqo for a laugh!. Next gig is the 1st November @ The Victoria in Swindon with Durera and Dave Corrigan
Cheers

Last weekend was the annual Sugarhill Festival in Swindon, and I was lucky enough to be asked to play the Shuffle stage, which was ace! There were some great bands on and we really enjoyed ourselves. Here are some photos and a couple of videos of our antics!!
